Gregory Darwin Sitch

July 10, 1954 — April 17, 2019

Devoted son, brother, uncle and friend Gregory Darwin Sitch (Greg) died Wednesday April 17, 2019 at Hospice of North Idaho with his family by his side.

Greg was born July 10, 1954 in Sandpoint, Idaho to Pete and Rean Sitch, where he graduated in 1972 from Sandpoint High School.

Greg worked for UPS, a satellite company, and was a manager at CDA Casino, until his health started to deteriorate.

Greg is survived by his sister Alvira (Myron) Lewis of Otis Orchards, Washington, along with 17 nieces and nephews, 50 great nieces and nephews, and 25 great great nieces and nephews along with many many friends and family.

He is preceded death by his mother and father (Pete and Rean Sitch), his brothers Pete (Jean) and Dennis, his sister and brother-in-law (Arlene and Roger Gilbart), and his loving, fury companion Harmony.

Uncle Greg was a hippy of the 70’s, and was known to be a jack of all trades. He will be remembered most for his love of music, and his favorite love of baseball. He loved to listen to his police scanner, take long country drives with a tall reserve in hand and of course his great love for family and friends.

Uncle Greg will be remembered for his great intelligence, his kind heart, his witty personality, and for taking his last country ride with his niece Tammy (Justin).

Services will be held on June 22, 2019 at the Sandpoint Cemetery at 1:00PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Greg’s honor can be made the Schneidmiller Hospice House.

A special thank you to all the doctors, nurses and staff and the Schneidmiler House for taking such great care of our Uncle Greg.

Our thanks also goes to Bell Tower Funeral Home and Crematory. He will be truly missed by those that loved him so dearly.
