Dale Owen Chaffin

May 30, 1940 — November 27, 2018

In Loving Memory of Dale Owen Chaffin, born 5-30-40, went to heaven 11-27-18 from his home in Idaho with family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer.  Amazing Husband, Father, Grandpa, Son, Brother, Uncle, Nephew, Friend and Good Neighbor. 

Dale Owen Chaffin was born in Colby Kansas to Oscar and Mildred Chaffin.  He was raised on a farm in Colby Kansas and attended Colby High School.  He had five siblings. 

He moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota shortly after high school to marry the love of his life Judy Anne Chaffin on 5-2-59.  They had 3 children and 11 grandchildren. During their 59 + years of marriage they lived in Minnesota, California, Colorado, Texas, Washington and Idaho.  He worked for FMC, many years for IBM, Hewlett Packard and Ace Hardware in Post Falls, Idaho.

He will be forever remembered for the incredible love he had for Judy, for his awesome smile and sense of humor, for all of his many talents most especially the amazing wood carvings he did and for always being willing to help anyone in need.  In addition to wood carving he enjoyed golfing, fishing, camping and keeping his yard at home beautiful and above all else his love for Jesus.

He is survived by his wife, his children and his grandchildren, four siblings along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and two nieces.

Services to be determined and announced at a later date.
