Lillian Holloman

September 30, 1905 — June 22, 2011

Lillian Ruth Holloman, 105, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2011, at her residence in Spirit Lake. She touched many people's lives throughout her time in this world. She was born Sept. 30, 1905, in Beatrice, Neb., to Charles Richard and Anna Elizabeth (Widenheimer) Shank. Lillian was loved and cherished by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Claire O. Horton of Spirit Lake; sister Genevieve C. Otte of Florida; brother Harry W. Shank of Nebraska; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Bill; four husbands; and nine brothers and sisters. She was a member of the Grass Valley Baptist Church. Lillian loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing, traveling and gardening. She worked in the Post Office where she was a clerk and also a carrier. In 1997, she moved to North Idaho and two years later moved to Spirit Lake. Lillian touched so many people's lives and will always be remembered and loved by those who knew her. Service will be held Tuesday July 5th. @ 2:00 p.m @ Bell Tower Funeral Home & Crematory. Bell Tower Funeral Home and Crematory of Post Falls, is in care of the arrangements.
