William Robert Babor

January 19, 1944 — November 20, 2022

William Babor also known as Billy or Papi to his family and friends, passed away at the age of 78 on Sunday, November 20th at 8:30 am. He passed away comfortably in his home surrounded by his close family and best friend, Brian, his dog. Billy was born in Oak Park, Illinois and raised in Monterey Park, California. There he attended Ynez Elementary School and Mark Keppel high school. During his life he had worked as a Diesel mechanic and a certified welder. Through his journey he had many hobbies and passions. He also had many collections which included trains, dragons and nut crackers. He turned his work into his passion when he started restoring classic cars. cars He loved restoring his 1986 Isuza car into a beautiful unique, custom car in which he won multiple trophies and awards at various car shows. He was a proud member of A local car club The Phuddy Duddy Cruisers. He met with the group every Monday night at Paul Bunyan in Hayden. He loved going to the CDA casino with his sister Joyce and playing his favorite Keno machine. He loved and had a strong devotion to his doggies his pets over the years…Fifi, Suzette, Rusty, Shadow, Mocha, and Brian his beloved dogs. Billy is survived by his wife, Arlene of 58 years. His son William Keith Babor of CDA, Idaho, and daughter Kim Green of Spokane, Washington. His sister's Carol Martin, of Ocean Shores, Washington and Joyce Folsom, of Hayden, Idaho. He had many close and dear grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister. We will dearly miss his jokes, stories and big smile. He is now in God's hands. May he rest in Peace. We love you
