Cora Lenore Travis

The precious and beloved Cora Lenore Travis of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho passed away 20 July 2021 at home. She was born 4 May 1979 in Rock Springs, Wyoming to Anthony and Lahmduan Travis. A longtime resident of Kootenai County, she attended grade school in Athol, Junior and Senior High in Rathdrum. She never married. Cora was a top student in grade school and prepared herself for college graduating from Lakeland High School in 1997 with an advanced diploma. Her first job was at the just opened Silverwood Theme Park while in High School. She had many other jobs throughout her life, most recently the Columbia Bank in Coeur d'Alene. She could play the clarinet and was in the Rathdrum High School Band. Cora was Baptized in the Name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Ghost/Spirit at Saint Stanislaus Catholic Church in Rathdrum 11 April 1987 and Real Life Ministries Post Falls, Idaho 2 July 2002 "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them . . . And teaching them to obey everything I have commanded of you." Matthew 28:19-20. She attended college in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho having an Associates of Science at North Idaho College and a Bachelors of Science, Business Administration at Lewis-Clark State College 2008. Cora loved to travel with family and friends, most recently returning from a trip to Cancun, Mexico with her sister Alisa Travis. Cora was preceded in death by her mother, Lahmduan "Wongwaht" Travis and step-sister Diana (DeeDee) Samek. Her Grandparents are the late Clifton and Esther (Scarcello) Travis of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho and the late Pim and Mee Wongwaht of Khorat, Thailand. Her father and step-mother Anthony and Raffaella Travis reside in Athol, Idaho. Survivors are Alisa Travis, Julia Culton (husband Mike, children Cireena and Ty), Maria Watkins (husband Ricky and children Rachelle, Alexis, McKenna and Jacob), children of step sister Diana Samek (Brianna, Jacqueline and Joshua), step-sister Cristina Antles (husband Gene and children Ariana, Austin and Amanda), step-brother Andrew Samek (wife Jennifer), nephew Austin Antles and wife Allison, niece Rachelle Sosa and husband Antonio, niece Jacqueline Jordan (husband Nick and children Sophia and Adalynn), niece Brianna Yonker (husband Aaron and children Gabe and Kaley) and numerous other family here and abroad (Thailand, Italy etc.). Cora's God-Parents are Mr. and Mrs. Francis and Connie Brunner of Athol, Idaho. Their daughter Gina "Brunner" Cooksey and Cora's cousin is married to the officiating Pastor Jared Cooksey Lake City Church 6000 N. Ramsey Road, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho 83815.
