Glen Ellis Talbott

GLEN TALBOTT, 81 Glen Talbott entered this life on February 6, 1940. His parents were Leon and Montana Jeanne (Cruger) Talbott. He was the 5th child in the family and joined siblings, Bonnie, Carol, Marilyn, and Jack. He entered Heaven on July 14, 2021, at his home in Worley, Idaho. Glen is preceded in death by his parents Leon Talbott and Montana Jeanne (Talbott) Keen, His sister and brother-in-law Bonnie and Harold Nazworth, his sister Carol Crisp, and brother Jack Talbott, niece Charlene Wylie, and nephew Dale Nazworth. He is survived by his wife Laura Talbott and two children, Kevin Talbott (Angel) and Chyrene Looney. He also has six grandchildren: Dustin Talbott (Anita), Cody Talbott, Brandi Talbott (Donnie), Tyler Talbott, Conrad Dean (Jessica), Russell Looney (Katherine). In addition, there are 10 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Marilyn Lawson and her husband Wayne and many nieces and nephews as well. Glen’s heart was for preaching the word and pastored several churches with his first wife Janice in Roseville, California; Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada; and Spokane Valley, Washington. He made a living operating a tire store; driving school buses (16 years at Central Valley); and became an Orthotics/Prosthetics Technician in his 50’s. He acted in two productions at the Spokane Civic Theater, Scrooge in “A Christmas Carol” and Professor Henry Higgins in “My Fair Lady.” He met his second wife Laura during this time, and they married once the Play was over. His heart was always to Preach and share the Lord, so vacation times were spent doing short term missions with many trips to the Philippines, then Russia, India and finally to China to spread Bible Tracts from city to city. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 23 at Bell Tower Funeral Home, Post Falls, Idaho. His Memorial Service will be immediately following at the Chapel of Bell Tower Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Interment will be on Tuesday, July 27th at 10:30 a.m. at Riverside Memorial Park in Spokane, Washington. The family wishes to thank the Nurses, CNAs, and Staff of Hospice of North Idaho for the excellent care he received in his final weeks both at home and at the Schneidmiller Hospice House. Memorials can be made to the “Jesus Film Project” in Glen’s name.
