Randal Utah Stopher

January 28, 1936 — May 26, 2021

Randal Utah Stopher, known to friends as Randy & family as Papa passed peacefully at his home from the arms of his wife of 65 years to the arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ on May 26th, 2021, in Post Falls, Idaho. Randy was born in Mt. Erie, Illinois in 1936 to Roy & Dorothy Stopher, and was the brother to Jerry & Rodney. Randy married Karen Marie Lowery on June 21, 1956, they spent 65 beautiful years together. Randy was a veteran of the United States Army & Reserves from 1959-1963 and served his country with the same dedication that he served his family. Randy was never a man of many words, but always a man of the most thoughtful actions. Beloved by his family Randy was the definition of a family man. Randy loved camping, gardening, target shooting, wood working, and anything he could use his creative mind for. Truly a jack of all trades, there was nothing he couldn’t fix. His style would have reminded you of a cowboy, flannel shirts, jean jackets, and the coolest boots. He was adored by his 6 grandchildren who spent much time with him while growing up. They admired their Papa very much & he never was shy to show his love for them. Randy is survived by the love of his life Karen, his son Tod and wife Kim, his daughter Jill and husband Al, his 6 grandchildren Mathew, Heather, Jake, Brianna, Kailey, and Tyler, and his beloved dogs Bentley & AJ.
