Wayne Berg

June 29, 1950 — January 17, 2020

Robert “Wayne” Berg, Jr., age 69, passed away at his home in Hayden, Idaho Friday, January 17, 2020. He was born June 29, 1950 in Ortonville, Minnesota to Constance “Connie” Eileen Berg and Robert Wayne Berg, Sr. Wayne graduated from Kellogg High School in 1969. He then began his long, successful career initially in mining and then in the tire industry serving his friends and community in the Silver Valley before retiring. Following high school, Wayne married Terry Parsons (Crawford). Together they had two children, Jessica and Haley. They later divorced. He then married Denise Berg (Peterson). Everyone who knew Wayne knew he loved life and his family. He was no stranger to a good laugh and no one was off limits to his humor. He enjoyed hunting and Jeeping and was known, as was his father, for his woodworking skills. He enjoyed spending time in his shop building log furniture. His pieces were beautiful and his children, grandchildren, and friends will have his handmade gifts to remember him by always. And most adamantly, he was a Zags fan! Wayne leaves behind his children Jessica Easley and Haley Berg; his step-sons Jerred (Nicole) Ellingson and Joseph Ellingson; his brothers Curtis (Cindy) Berg and Jeff (Julie) Berg; his grandchildren Karlee Street, Preslee Allen, Payton Ellingson, Sierra Ellingson, and Hadley Bush; and many nieces and nephews. Wayne was preceded in death by his father Robert in 1984, his mother Connie in 2014, and his brother Kevin in 1975. Friends and family are invited to his Celebration of Life on Saturday, February 8th at 1:00 p.m. at the Mountain View Congregational Church at 525 W. Cameron Ave. in Kellogg. A gathering will follow upstairs at Noah’s in Kellogg.
