Willetta Joy Winslow

Willetta Joy Winslow; 84 Willetta Joy Winslow (Willi) 84 of Coeur d’Alene, passed away peacefully on June 15th, 2022. Born October 3rd, 1937 to H.B. Ford and Doris Nissen. Willi grew up in Colville, WA but later moved to Lewiston, ID attending Lewiston High School. Willi lived in several places, most of which were in Lewiston and Boise, Idaho. She did spend time in Spokane WA and Tri-Cities, WA but lived her last 3 years at the Grove Independent Living Facility in CDA where she enjoyed all the caring staff and residents. She was married to Loren Jensen from 1955-1969 and to E.D. (Chub) Winslow from 1969-2016 at his passing. Willi was a stay-at-home mom but later drove a school bus for Lewiston School District. She drove truck with Loren Jensen and later drove truck and was a property manager with Chub Winslow. They also owned and operated a very popular bar in Lewiston, Chubs Tavern. She achieved numerous awards while employed as a property manager. Willi, in her younger years, loved being adventurous and daring, once riding on the shoulders of a pilot of an open cockpit crop duster biplane. She loved playing the organ and played at the airport lounge in Lewiston during the mid-60’s. She and Chub were members of the Eagles Lodge in Lewiston. Willetta was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Chub and her daughter Karen McCrae. She is survived by her son Rex Jensen and his wife Lori of Post Falls, her daughter Robyn Engle of Lewiston and stepson David Winslow and his wife Lila of Stites, ID. Numerous grandkids Anjie Pfefferkorn, Chad Engle, Joy (Jensen) Page, Sherry (Jensen) Gingras and Derek and Daniel Winslow. She was blessed with 13 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews many who still live in the Pacific Northwest. All of whom she loved greatly, spending time with and making memories. She will be laid to rest with her late husband, Chub Winslow at the Veterans Cemetery in Medical Lake, WA. July 29th, 2022 11:15am. A Celebration of Life will be held on July 29, 2022 at 2:00 pm at the home of Willetta's son, Rex Jensen.
