On November 14, 2013, Wayne left this world to join his parents, Otto F. and Ruby L. Moeller, and grandparents, Frederick & Caroline Moeller and Conrad & Mary Schaefer, in their Heavenly Father's Kingdom. Wayne was born April 26, 1927 at his parents' farm home located 13 miles east of Ritzville, Washington. He is survived by his wife, Norma F. Moeller (née Walton) and his children, Renée Taylor (husband, James) and Cheryl Hodgeson (husband, Mark); grandchildren, Keturah Rusk (husband, Patrick), Avichaim Dicken (wife, Catherine), and Kyle Hodgeson; and great-grandchildren, Tyler Owings, Ayden Rusk, Gabriella Dicken, and Casey Dicken.
Wayne moved with his parents to Rathdrum, Idaho in 1933, and attended school there through the Third Grade. In 1936, his family moved to Post Falls, Idaho, where he attended school through high school, playing football and basketball on the Post Falls High School teams. Wayne graduated as Valedictorian in May, 1945. During his school and college years, Wayne assisted his parents with their dairy farm and their grain and hay harvests. Wayne attended Kinman Business University in Spokane and was a member of the Phi Theta Pi Business Fraternity. He graduated with a Business Administration and Accounting degree in December, 1947. Wayne passed the C.P.A. exam in 1952.
Wayne's employment included being a traveling auditor for Montgomery Ward in Washington and Oregon. He was transferred to an accounting position in the Chicago home office and later served as Accounting Manager in Oklahoma City and Controller in Ft. Worth, Texas retail stores before being transferred to Kansas City, Missouri as Regional Store Accounting Supervisor. In 1963, Wayne was hired by Panhandle Eastern Pipeline Company as an Internal Auditor. Later he was promoted to Shareholder Services Manager and was transferred to the Houston, Texas office. Wayne retired in December, 1988.
In June, 1950, Wayne married Anna C. Benton (a/k/a Julianna Adrian in later years). They had two children, Renée in 1951 and Cheryl in 1956. They divorced in 1962. In December, 1965, Wayne married Norma (Walton) Mollenhauer in Kansas City, Missouri. They moved to Houston, Texas when Wayne was transferred there. Wayne and Norma resided in Houston until November, 1996 when they moved to Post Falls, Idaho.
Wayne was active as Accountant for the Post Falls Historical Society for five years; Treasurer for the Post Falls Lions Club for two years; and has served on the Board of Directors of the Post Falls Senior Citizens Center, in all officer positions, since 1998. Wayne considered Post Falls, Idaho to be his "home" town.
