Vincent Albert Larocque, 62, of Post Falls, Idaho passed away March 2, 2017 at Kootenai Health in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho. Vincent was born December 16, 1954 in Toronto, Canada to Albert and Marie (Dozois) Larocque.
As a child Vincent moved with his family to Thousands Oaks, California. There he attended and graduated from Thousand Oaks High School in 1972. Vincent worked for Thousands Oaks Lumber until his retirement. He later moved to North Idaho and settled in Post Falls.
Growing up near the beach, Vincent enjoyed surfing and riding his motorcycle along the coast. He was a lifelong aficionado of Harley Davidsons and anyone who knew him was sure to hear stories from his rides. He loved reading and studying history, and over the years he amassed quite the coin collection, although perhaps more endearing was his collection of Budweiser Holiday steins, which was quite the Christmas tradition among him and his family. Vincent was also an avid sports fan, the Toronto Maple Leafs and Los Angeles Dodgers among his favorites.
He is survived by his mother Marie Larocque of Post Falls, Idaho; one sister Denise Ferrie of Rathdrum, Idaho; one nephew John Ferrie of Rathdrum, Idaho; one niece Sarah (Brandon) Nipper of Portland, Oregon; and one great-niece Harlee Ferrie. He was preceded in death by his father, Albert.
