Tricia Forbes

Patricia “Tricia” Jeanne Forbes went to be with the Lord on the evening of Tuesday, June 28, 2022 with her family by her side in Hayden, ID. Tricia was born on December 7, 1958 in St. Petersburg, Florida to John and Patricia Hudson, the youngest of four children. She grew up in St. Petersburg, Satellite Beach and Cocoa Beach, Florida. She enjoyed watching first hand NASA space launches from the Mercury, Gemini and Apollo space programs. Tricia moved to Denver, Colorado area as a young adult where she met and married Alan Forbes in 1984. Alan was in the Navy, so they relocated a few times to Hawaii, back to Denver, and ultimately to Northern Idaho. They had two children together, Courtney and Ryan before Alan’s passing in 1990. Tricia settled in Northern Idaho, where she lived with her husband, Preston Rutherford, since 1992. Tricia loved the outdoors and traveling. She enjoyed skiing, boating, camping, gardening and she especially loved the ocean. She frequented Hawaii and Florida. She loved being barefoot on a sunny day. Tricia was an avid reader and favored murder mysteries. She was a big fan of author Stephen King. She was a skilled dart player and was involved in several leagues over the years. Tricia enjoyed all types of music, especially country music from the 60s and 70s. Tricia loved spending time with her family and spoiling her children and grandchildren. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She spoke kind words to others and could get along with anyone. She was a generous, strong woman and a loving, devoted, supportive wife, mother, daughter, and friend to many. Tricia was preceded in death by her parents Patricia and John Hudson, her husband Alan Forbes and brother Tom Hudson. Tricia is survived by her husband Preston Rutherford of Hayden, Idaho, brother The Rev. Canon Robert (Barbara) of Maysville, KY, sister Mary Lu Hudson of Ritzville, WA, daughter Courtney Pellow (Broderick) of Athol, ID, son Ryan Forbes of Hayden, ID, stepdaughter Alonna Huntoon (Andy) of Milford, OH, stepson Preston Rutherford (Chanda) of Snoqualmie, WA, stepson Jason Rutherford of Coeur d’Alene, ID, stepdaughter Rian Young of Coeur d’Alene, ID, twelve grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
