Tracy Brighter, 56, of Post Falls, Idaho, passed away in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho on October 9, 2021 from complications due to Covid-19.
He was born April 6, 1965 in San Jose, Calif. to Janet K. and James K. Brighter.
Following his attendance at Silvercreek High School, he worked as a book binder at San Jose Graphics before moving to Grass Valley, Calif. While there, he attended Victory Outreach, where he grew his love for Jesus and was baptized. He later moved to Citrus Heights and worked with FedEx delivery.
In 2009 he transferred to the FedEx Spokane facility and moved to Rathdrum, Idaho. Driving a truck spurred him on to earn his CDL license. From there, he drove long-haul across the majority of the U.S.
He joined Teamsters Local 690 in 2018. Some of his favorite jobs included work on airport runways, casino RV parking lots and highway construction.
Fishing, camping, gardening and traveling were some of Tracy’s favorite pastimes, especially riding his Harley with his brother, Jimmy, and other Harley friends.
When he wasn’t working out of town, Tracy attended Real Life MInistries in Post Falls and enjoyed participating in a home group.
He is survived by his mother, Janet K. (Berger) Brighter, of Post Falls, Idaho; his brother, Jimmy Brighter, of Rathdrum; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He is also survived by two grand-nieces, Avery and Peighton, whom he loved to play with. He is predeceased by his father, James Kaleimaemae Brighter and his brother, Eddie Brighter; and grandparents, Eddie and Elizabeth Brighter; and Lynn and Viola Berger.
A Celebration of Life honoring Tracy will take place at 11 a.m., November 13 and Real Life Ministries Building #1, 1860 N Cecil, Post Falls, Idaho. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tracy’s name to any Shriners Hospital. Belltower Funeral Homes is in charge of funeral arrangements.
