Thomas “Tom” Willis Kellough, 83, of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho passed away December 18, 2016 at his home. Tom was born November 11, 1933 in Royal Oak, Michigan to Wilbert and Dorothy (Willis) Kellough. As a child Tom moved with his family to Yakima, Washington, where he spent most of his childhood.
As a young man Tom joined the United States Army and proudly served during the Korean War. After his honorable discharge Tom returned to Yakima. He worked in construction all of his life and eventually owned his own construction business Kellough Builders, in Yakima.
Tom met Joy Adams and they were later married November 1, 1968 in Yakima, Washington. They were married 47 years when Tom passed.
Tom loved racecars and enjoyed building hotrods in his younger years. He also enjoyed fishing, and traveling in his motor home with his wife and dog. Tom especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife Joy of Post Falls, Idaho; one son Thomas Kellough of Pahrump, Nevada; one daughter Angela Kellough of Pahrump, Nevada; three grandchildren Justin Henning of Hollywood, California, Jazzrelle Kellough of Seattle, Washginton, and Deanna Heidt of Colorado Springs, Colorado; one brother Robert (Koni) Kellough of Valencia, California; and numerous nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, two step-sons Larry and Gary Heidt; and two sisters Elaine Miles and Margaret Bray.
A celebration of Tom’s life will be held at a later date.
