Thomas Joseph Corkery Jr.

Thomas Joseph Corkery Jr. 63 passed away peacefully at his home in Spirit Lake, ID on the morning of March 19, 2025.

Tom was born in Shelby, MT to Tom and Betty Corkery(Cutz) on September 29, 1961, the youngest of 9 children. Tom graduated from Joel E Ferris High School in Spokane, WA in 1979 and went on to earn a degree in Electronics at Spokane Falls Community College. Family summers at Spirit Lake ID were enjoyed over the years and that is where where Tom met and married Yolonda Davidson bringing the joy of his son Thomas in 1985. Over the years he worked at Bayliner, St Vincent DePaul, Prairie Falls Golf Club, Ballard Golf & Power Sports and Highlands Golf Course. Tom also owned and operated Corkery Turf International and was acknowledged for his work at the renowned Nine Bridges Golf Course in South Korea as well as projects in Vietnam.

It brought Tom great joy to watch his son and grandchildren participating in sporting events, on a mountain trail, or on the lake, his unconditional love for them was just as unwavering as his faith was. He was a member of the North County Chapel for 14 years, Tom's belief in the Lord Jesus Christ helped him endure many pains and trials throughout life. Tom had a work ethic like no other, he would go the extra mile, and always be the first one to pitch in when help was needed, he put others needs above his own and treated others as he wanted to be treated.

Tom is survived by his son Thomas Corkery of Spirit Lake, ID, grandsons Braylind and Thomas Corkery V of Rathdrum, ID as well as step grandchildren Gabriel Goodwin, and Grace Goodwin of Post Falls, ID, God daughter Amanda Davidson of Spirit Lake, ID. Brother Steve (Jenn) Corkery, sisters, Maureen Cleveland, Evie Mercer, Betsy Val, Patty (Art) Johnson, brother-in- laws Jerry Emerson and Gary Smith and numerous nieces and nephews

Preceded in death by parents Thomas Corkery, Betty Virtue, sisters Kathy Emerson, Colleen Corkery, Peggy Smith, brother-in-laws Greg Mercer and Charlie Val, nephews Joshua Smith, Tony Johnson, Steve Corkery and Joel Corkery

The family will have a private family service at a later date.
