Thomas Herbert Allen

Thomas Herbert Allen – also known as “Tom the Tile Guy”, 62 of Torrance California passed away at his home in Coeur d’Alene Idaho on Monday May 21st, 2018 after a long and brave battle with Cancer.

Tom the Tile Guy exemplified perfection with every job he encountered whether big or small. He was well known to his customers for his amazing attention to detail, superb quality work, timely completions, and fair prices.  Tom always went the extra mile for his customers and even donated a lot of his spare time engaged in jobs for charity.  He was loved by the community for his phenomenal workmanship, fun loving spirit, infectious laugh, and at times his off the wall humor that everyone he encountered understood and enjoyed, and shared the laugh.  Tom walked this earth with immense courage and empathy for others.  These are just a few of many uplifting characteristics he possessed.

When Tom was not working he spent his time with his sweetheart and family doing things that he enjoyed most in life.  He loved fishing, hiking, gardening, and relaxing in front of the Television with his favorite movies and cartoons.

Tom leaves behind his sweetheart, companion and best friend Nickie Helms, his children, Johnathan Allen and Jessica Gray, his fur children, Trouble the Maine Coon and Ruby the best Frenchie ever.  He also leaves behind countless friends who saw him as a role model and a mentor.  He was preceded by his parents, Thomas K Allen and Patricia Allen, as well as his sister Patti Kalayji.

Tom will be missed immensely and will be in our hearts forever.  He will never be forgotten.

Funeral services will be held at Bell Tower Funeral Home in Post Falls Idaho on Saturday June 2nd 2018 between the hours on 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm.
