Sydney "Syd" Kenneth Swanson 77 years of Post Falls, ID Passed away on September 30th 2021 at his home in Post Falls, ID. He was born on June 20, 1944 in Boise, ID to Martha Francis Browning and Kenneth John Swanson. He grew up with his father being in the Army Air Corps and then the Airforce. He lived all over the United States and overseas, including Germany and Turkey. His family eventually settled in Spokane, WA once his father retired from the military. He graduated from high school from Pine Forest High School in Fayetteville, NC in 1964. He went on to get his certificate of completion in auto mechanics in 1966. Syd was married to Kathy Heldenbrand from 1967-1970 and to Christine Moss (Swanson) from 1977-1988. His occupation was an auto mechanic up until he retired and his hobbies included working on cars, watching auto racing, and pretty much anything to do with cars. He also was gifted at woodworking. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and snowmobiles, fishing, and watching football. Mainly the Seahawks. He spent many hours assisting his friends and neighbors in his community with their yardwork and house maintenance. He liked doing things for people when he was able to. Sidney is survived by his children Kipp Swanson and Matthew (and Katie) Swanson of Spokane, WA and Wendi (and Christopher) Lingle of Deer Park, WA. Also, his brother Michael (and Carol) Swanson of Federal Way, WA. Also, his grandchildren, Ethan, Silas, Lincoln and Robert, as well has numerous nieces and one nephew and is preceded in death by his parents Martha and Kenneth Swanson, brother Steven Swanson, and sister Gretchen Landrus.
