Suzanne Martha Newbro

April 8, 1937 — July 30, 2020

Suzanne passed away surrounded by her 3 children and husband, at the Schneidmiller House of North Idaho Hospice Care on July 30, 2020 from complications due to COPD. She was born on April 8, 1937 in Pasadena. CA to Emily Pearl and William Hall Newbro. As a child in Southern California she loved being at the beach and being in the water. In her early years she loved being a waitress and learn to teach ballroom dancing. In 1961 she married Herbert Bonallo. In 1967 they moved to Hayden Lake, ID. During this time, she got involved working with Coeur d’Alene Community Theatre. In 1975 Herb and Suzanne divorce. In 1979 she met her future husband Wayne Koski, although they didn’t get married till 1996. In 1983 she got a two year degree from North Idaho College. In 1985 she enrolled at Eastern Washington University and eventually getting a MS degree in Social Work. From there she went to work for Daybreak of Spokane, treating drug addiction teenagers, until her retirement in 1995. After retirement she enjoyed gardening, and swimming, taking exercise class, and making new friends at the Kroc center. She was secretary and president of the Post Falls Garden Club. She was preceded in death by her parents and a stepbrother Bill Newbro. She is survived by her sister Billie, daughter April, sons Brian and Cory, husband Wayne, and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces. A memorial service and celebration of her life will take place at some future date due to COVID.
