Susan April Kilcup

Susan April Kilcup, 70 of Coeur D Alene ID passed into the Lord’s presence late on March 17, 2025 at her home. Born on April 27th, 1954 in Yerington NV to Milton and Ruth Grover.

Susan April grew up in Yerington NV, then moved to Montana during high school, graduating in Missoula MT. She then went to BIOLA University for 4 years.

She was married on September 22nd 1979 to Douglas Kilcup in Tacoma, WA.

Her main work interest after marriage was with young children. She helped start a new Christian school in Gig Harbor WA by teaching preschool.

Later she worked in a public school in Newberg OR assisting a phonics teacher. She did very well with young children, including her own two children, Jessica and James.

She and her husband enjoyed attending church-related gatherings and events all through her life. From a young child she had a consistent faith in the God of the Bible. Most recently she regularly attended All of Life Church in Post Falls ID.

She enjoyed planting and working with flowers, reading, singing, taking walks, spending time with family.

Susan April is survived by her spouse Douglas Kilcup, daughter Jessica Rust, son-in-law Peter Rust, son James Kilcup, daughter-in-law Carli Kilcup, all in Coeur D Alene ID.

Also survived by 4 siblings, Ellen Salyer, Stan Grover, Steve Grover, and Jonathan Grover. Also survived by 9 grandchildren.
