Steven Craig Emery, 59, went home to be with the Lord on February 26, 2012. He was born on Dec. 7, 1952 in Lubbock, Texas to Keith and Mary Jane Emery and was the youngest of three boys. In 1970, he graduated from Cordova High School in Rancho Cordova, California.
At a carpet store in Roseville, California, Steven discovered the love of his life, Deborah K. Witt. They married in 1981, and gave life to three children. In 1993, they moved to Spirit Lake, Idaho where he built a beautiful house for his family. Later moving to Coeur d'Alene and then to Post Falls, he remained with his wife for the final years of his life.
Steven's heart has always been in sales. He first owned Emery Photography in California, and after moving to Idaho, he started up Emery Siding and Windows where he served the community for ten years. Besides owning his own businesses he also sold real estate for Windemere, Remax, and Keller Williams, and sold Medicare Supplement Insurance for various companies. Steven believed in building long lasting friendships with his customers. He had a true entrepreneurial spirit and excelled in all of his business debuts.
Steve enjoyed sailing with friends and family, riding his Harley down the windy roads of Lake Coeur d'Alene, reading, playing the guitar with his sons, and exploring his interests with numerous electrical gadgets.
He was a loving husband, father, and a devoted friend to all who knew him. He was a strong Christian man who attended Real Life Ministries and Sovereign Grace Bible of Hayden.
Steven is preceded in death by his father Keith Craig Emery, his mother Mary Jane Baker, and a brother Richard Keith Emery. He will be missed by his stepfather Herbert M. Baker, stepsister Candy Baker, brother Donald Emery of Placerville, California, and his nephews and nieces Craig Emery, Jennifer Emery Suleiman, David Emery, Michael Emery, Carolyn Emery, Cindy Matthews Simon, Jamie Matthews, and Jason Baker.
