Shawn William Stocks

Shawn William Stocks 28 years old Athol Idaho was tragically lost at home January 6th, 2022. Shawn was born in Port Huron, Michigan to Robert and Peggylee Stocks. As a young child, Shawn fell in love with trains and building models. He vacationed to Idaho almost every year with his Grandpa and Grandma Kolman and was just always the easiest person to be around. At age 12, he moved to Athol, Idaho and it was like he had been born here. A true North Idaho man - from mud bogging or taking the midnight drive to the top of the mountain. He was in his element when he was in the woods. That quickly turned into him cutting and selling wood on the side while he was a framer in the construction business by day he loved being a woodsman by night. He loved his Chevys and that eventually turned into loving his Dodges. He was so sought after as a mechanic. He was the go to man for all of us. If Shawn couldn't fix it then it couldn't be fixed. He could tear apart and put together just about anything. He always had several projects going on at once. He had so many adventures. You never knew where he would be stuck!!!! He was kind, smart, and would help anyone and always had a soft spot for the lost souls of the world. Anyone that knew Shawn knew he was the "Go-To" guy no matter the problem. Survived by his parents, Robert Sr. and Peggy Stocks; Brothers: Robert Jr (Amanda) Stocks, Alaska and Wayne Stocks, Idaho; girlfriend, Sonja Ogden, Idaho; Grandmother Irene Kolman, Idaho; Aunt Dawn Sly, Idaho; Uncle Ron (Roxanne) Kolman, Michigan; Grandfather, Gary Stocks Sr., Michigan; Uncle Gary Stocks Jr., Michigan; and Uncle Timothy (Joanna) Stocks, Georgia; and many great Aunts, Uncles and cousins. Preceded in death by grandmother, Rebecca Stocks Aunt Carol Stocks and grandfather, George Kolman. Memorial service will be held January 23rd, 2022 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the American Legion in Athol: 5525 East Hwy 54 Athol, Idaho. Please join us in remembrance of Shawn's life and bring printed pictures to share if you wish. Lunch will be served. A dish to pass is appreciated.
