Shane Jay Zabransky passed away on Sunday, September 4th, 2016, at Kadlec Hospital at the age of 44.
Shane was born in Pendleton, Oregon, to Jack and Norma Zabransky (Hitesman) on December 3,1971. Shane was the youngest of seven children. Shane grew up in Stanfield, Oregon, where he was involved with football, band, and student council. Shane graduated from Stanfield High School in 1990 and went on to receive his Bachelors of Science in sports medicine from Eastern Oregon University. He continued his education at Central Washington University where he graduated with a Master of Science in physical education, health, and leisure studies.
Shane is survived by his beloved mother, Norma; sisters Sandra (Clark), Shelley (Ena) and Sherri (Morris); and his brothers Stephen and Scott. He was preceded in death by his father Jack, his sister Susan (Ena), and his nephew Jacob Zabransky.
Shane was loved very much by his family. Shane loved his nieces, his nephews, family gatherings, animals, and sports of all kinds. He especially loved watching his nephews play college football.
There will be a viewing on Tuesday, September 13th at 10:30 a.m., with the Celebration of Life service at 11 a.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 850 S.W. 11th St., Hermiston, Oregon. Burial will take place following at the Stanfield Cemetery in Stanfleld, Oregon.
