Scott Robert Troop, 54, of Medical Lake, Washington passed away April 28, 2014 at Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho. Scott was born June 24, 1959 in Walla Walla, Washington to Oliver and Willa Dean(Ogden) Troop. Scott attended and graduated from Walla Walla High School in 1977. He worked as a large machine mechanic in many settings for the majority of his career after graduation from Eastern Washington University with his Bachelors of Science Degree. Scott loved the outdoors including fishing, hunting,camping and golfing. He also loved to travel to anywhere near water so he could spend his time fishing, but especially Sullivan Lake. Scott also enjoyed reading sci-fi fantasy novels, playing pool and darts, going to the movies, and good food. He was an experimental cook who loved to try new recipes. He is survived by three children Leanne Troop of Alaska, Kellie Troop of Montana, and Kyle Troop of Washington; one sister Sherry (Wayne) Hein of Washington; and one niece Cassandra Stidham of Washington. He was preceded in death by his parents. Cremation was held and a "Celebration of Life" will be held at a later date. Notice for the "Celebration of Life" will be posted on Bell Tower Funeral Home's website as well as sent out to family and friends when details are finalized by his children. In Lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations may be made in Scott's name at any Wells Fargo Bank location, or sent to P.O. Box 3547 Post Falls, ID 83877. All funds will go towards the purchase of a memorial fishing bench to be placed at a local lake.
