Rock Anthony Gabbard, 53, of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho passed away October 5, 2016 in Hayden, Idaho. Rock was born June 18, 1963 in Sacramento, California to William and Betty (David) Gabbard. Rock spent his childhood in Sacramento where he attended and graduated from Highlands High School in 1981.
He then worked at McCellan Air Force Base working to maintain the various air crafts. He later moved to the Pacific Northwest settling first in Deer Park, Washington, before moving to Spokane. There he worked for LB Foster formally CXT making concrete railroad ties. While living in Spokane Rock met Cheri Sagel and together they had two children.
He later relocated to Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, and worked as a truck driver for B&B Sani Service.
Rock was a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan, and will be remembered as a happy go lucky guy, who always wore a smile, and had a loving heart.
He is survived by one son Tyler Gabbard of Spokane Valley, Washington; one daughter Monique Gabbard of Sopkane, Washington one sister Carolyn (Fred) Snyder of Deer Park, Washington; five nephews, one niece and his father. Rock was preceded in death by his mother and one brother Floyd Wayne Gabbard.
A celebration of Rock’s life will be held
