Rita Gay Scranton

July 10, 1965 — July 19, 2022

Beloved wife, mother, sister and friend, Rita G. Scranton, 57, of Spirit Lake, Idaho peacefully passed away on July 19, 2022. Rita was born on July 10, 1965; the daughter of Cletus and Pauline (Burton) Trueblood. Rita grew up in Burley, Idaho as well as Indianapolis, Indiana. In her earlier years, she loved serving people as a waitress. Being the loving and caring person that she was, she later rededicated her life to becoming a full-time caregiver. In her spare time, she felt a sense of comfort when she would go fishing, gardening, crocheting. She often felt that camping was too much work, but still loved being in the outdoors. Truly being a giving person, she also loved making things for her family and friends and seeing the joy it brought to them. Rita is survived by her loving husband, Thomas; her wonderful children, Dustin Gosman, Eli Gosman, Jeremiah Gosman (Stormy Streets), and Jonathan Jones; her grandchildren, Emily Gosman, Autumn Gosman, Talor J. Miller, Miyah Gosman, and Reece Gosman; her sisters, Cathy (Kevin) Colbert, Deana Trueblood, Tina (Angel) Huerta, Misty (Tony) Chapa, Torri (Larry) Child, and Angie Trueblood. A memorial service will be held on July 28, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Bell Tower Funeral Home: 3398 E. Jenalan Ave., Post Falls, Idaho 83854. Rita was loved by so many and will be greatly missed. May she rest in eternal peace.
