Riley “Budman” Dwayne Franks II, 72, of Post Falls, Idaho formally of Escondido, California passed away on February 23, 2023 in the comfort of his home in Post Falls.
At this time there will not be a funeral service. Bud had requested to be cremated, and his ashes spread off the Washington coastline where his parent’s ashes were spread. This will take place when there is better weather in the spring or summer.
Riley was born in Dallas, Texas to Riley & Leola Franks on April 16th 1950. He completed his senior year of high school. He then went on to earn enough money to be able to purchase his 1st home at a young age by working a newspaper route. He was proud of this accomplishment. Many of us know of his life success of owning and running Pacific Tire & Wheel in Oceanside, CA. He enjoyed being with family and friends, golfing, riding his bike, camping, as well as running the sand dunes in the CA deserts with friends and family. He was also involved with the Boys and Girls Club of Oceanside, CA.
Bud is survived by his wife, Lydia. His oldest son Riley III (Ski) with his two children Becca & Sophie; and their mother Serena. His youngest son Brandon. As well as Laura and Paul Hemming, (Lydia’s oldest daughter) with their two children Sierra Rose, and Blake. Then Rebekah (Bekah; Lydia’s youngest daughter) and Rebekah’s husband Jon Stalcup.
