Rebecca Mott

March 26, 1949 — October 18, 2013

Rebecca Jane Mott, 64, of Athol, ID, passed away peacefully at Hospice House in the presence of her loving family on October 18, 2013. She was born in Polson, MT on March 26, 1949 to the late Connie and Stanly Ridnour. Throughout her childhood she lived in many places following her mother and father who worked construction. She even resided for a time in Seoul, South Korea. On June 19, 1971, she married John Mott. Together they had two children, Adam and Sarah Mott. Along with raising a family, Becky started several businesses. She was a distributor for YJ sausage and Mountain Gem Cheese. She also started Quality Demonstrating, a product demonstrating service which employed over 300 part-time individuals. Later, Becky went on to become a licensed realtor. She was active in implementing and participating in the local Head Start program, and made several trips to Boise on the program's behalf. She enjoyed volunteering and did so for many businesses throughout Kootenai county including, Kootenai Medical Center, Hospice of North Idaho, Casa, and Kootenai Humane Society. She was also a licensed foster parent. Becky loved to participate in all of what North Idaho has to offer including hunting, fishing, atv-ing, camping, and snowmobiling. She loved cooking, gardening, her cats, and playing with her grandkids. Becky is survived by her husband, John Mott, son, Adam Mott, daughter, Sarah Mott, and grandchildren, Elijah and Hannah Mott. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at Bell Tower Funeral Home in Post Falls, ID. Following the service, Becky will be interred at Greenwood Cemetery in Spirit Lake, ID. Reception to follow.
