Our loving, caring compassionate husband, father, brother, uncle and grandfather, Ray Metz passed away September 10, 2015. Raymond was born on April 26th, 1931 in Yakima, WA.
Thank you Dad for the lasting life lessons you instilled in all your family. We learned the value of keeping ones word and following through on commitments. Dad’s favorite saying, “A promise made is a debt unpaid, and the soil has its own stern code.” Powerful words that helped shape and mold us into people of integrity, honesty, responsibility and dependability. Dad supported and loved his family unconditionally.
Dad taught us the importance of fun and family. Many fun-filled nights were spent sharing meals and playing cards. Dad was an avid fisherman and hunter.
Mom (Dixie) passed away just a few days before Dad. He and she were truly one. He said their love was the most beautiful thing in his life. Theirs was a true love story and an inspiration to all who knew them.
Ray’s Daughter Debbie Lindgren preceded him as well. Ray leaves behind brother Mel Metz. He is survived by sons Raymond and Ronald (spouse Teresa) Metz; Daughters Robin LaChey (partner Dean Green) and Teresa Damon (spouse Ron). He is survived by grandchildren Don Wolfe, James and Robert Jacobsen, Brad LaChey, Stephanie Pratt; Leslie Wilk, Stacie and Jeremy Simpkins, Keshia, Veronika and Trinity Berglin; as well as numerous great grand-children.
Bless you Dad as you have passed from this world. You and Mom gave us life, may you now enjoy the fullness of life in the embrace of our God of Love and Peace. We know you and Mom are dancing and singing with the angels in heaven.
