Phillip Lee Foster Sr., "Phil", age 71,passed away August 4, 2012 at his home in Post Falls, Idaho.
Phil was born on August 10, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois. He was born to Thomas Foster and Margaret Foster of Cayuga, Indiana. He has two siblings, John Foster of Bloomington, Illinois and the late Jeanne Meyer. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1958-1961 where he was honorably discharged as a Corporal. He retired from an illustrious career in law enforcement from California in 1994. He then pursued a career as an insurance fraud investigator and retired permanently in 1999. Phil is survived by his wife Connie, sons Phillip Jr. and Charles, daughters, the late Kimberly Foster and Kelly St. Lawrence. He is also survived by step children Kristin Arguello and Brian Streb, along with 9 grandchildren.
Phil was always ready for a neighborhood gathering and usually would be working in his garage with the neighborhood children frequently visiting asking for his never ending "lollipop supply". His two poodles Gidget and Gunner, who were his constant companions, were always at his side waiting for affection and hugs. He will be missed by his friends and family whose life he touched in an extraordinary way on a continuous basis.
The family would like to thank North Idaho Nephrology for their compassionate care they bestowed upon Phil. A service with Military Honors will be held at 5058 E. Mossberg Circle in Post Falls. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to River City Hospice, Post Falls, Idaho.
