Peggy Lynn Scarbrough 54, Post Falls, Idaho, passed away about 8:30 A.M. Monday, June 30, 2014 at Kootenia County Hospital in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
She was born on August 18, 1959 in North Liberty, Indiana, the daughter of Robert and Mary (Mullins) Collins. On May 5, 1979 in Bloomington, Indiana, she married James R. Scarbrough. He survives.
Peggy graduated from Caston High School in 1977 then attended Herron School of Art in Indianapolis for two years. She was a homemaker and homeschooled her children. Her hobbies included reading and studying her bible, sewing and making quilts, caring for her flowers and plants, and supporting the troops by writing letters through the Soldier Angel program. She enjoyed camping, music, singing and especially spending time with her family. Her favorite saying was ‘Always take time to stop and smell the roses’.
Survivors include her husband, James Scarbrough, children, Jedediah Scarbrough, Zachariah Scarbrough, Malachi Scarbrough, Hilary Scarbrough, all of Post Falls, Idaho, brothers Michael and wife Emyle Collins, Plymouth, Indiana, Jim and wife Viola Collins, Knox, Indiana, sisters Carolyn and husband Ronald Pearson, Macy, Indiana, Lois and husband Sam Coffing, Kewanna, Indiana, Ruth Collins-Price, Logansport, Indiana, Amy and husband Scott Lewis, North Manchester, Indiana, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Becky Collins, and nephew, Brian Pearson.
Graveside services will be conducted at 4:00 P.M. Saturday, July 5, 2014 at Evergreen Cemetery, Post Falls, Idaho. Visitation will be from 3:00 P.M. until time of service at Bell Tower Funeral Home. Memorial services will be conducted on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at 7:00 P.M. at Life Gate Church, Logansport, Indiana. Friends may call from 5-7 P.M. Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to assist the family with expenses, Life Gate Church Logansport, Indiana (youth program) or Fulton County Indiana Public Library.
