Paxton Ace Hovaldt

July 4, 2012 — December 5, 2024

It is with profound sadness that we share the loss of our beloved son, Paxton Ace Hovaldt, age 12. Paxton left this world far too soon on December 5, 2024, leaving an ache in our hearts that words cannot fully express. Born on July 4, 2012, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, to Brandie Otter and Joey Hovaldt, Paxton was our firecracker, bringing light, love, and energy into every room he entered.

Paxton was so much more than words can capture. He was a hilarious, quick-witted boy with a playful sense of humor that kept us all laughing. His laugh was pure magic, a sound that could brighten even the darkest day. He loved spending hours immersed in his favorite video games, creating incredible drawings that showcased his boundless imagination, and hanging out with his brothers, Kelton and Joby, who he loved fiercely.

Paxton attended Bowdish Middle School in Spokane and most recently Post Falls Middle School, where he built meaningful friendships and shared many happy moments with his classmates. Known for being a goofball, he loved to make others laugh with his playful antics and lighthearted humor. He had a way of making everyone around him feel included and valued, creating memories of kindness and fun that will be remembered by all who knew him. His friends, both in school and online, brought him joy and companionship that he truly treasured.

Paxton is survived by his devoted parents, Brandie and Joey; his proud older brothers, Kelton and Joby; his loving grandparents, Bob, Cheryl, Doug, Loretta, and Courtney; and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who adored him. He was predeceased by his grandfather, Terry Tritten, whose memory Paxton held in his heart. Every one of us carries Paxton’s love and laughter within us, and we will miss him more than words can say.

To honor Paxton’s life, we will gather for a celebration on January 11th at 11:00 AM at Real Life Church in Post Falls, Idaho. Immediately following we will have a potluck. We invite family, friends, and all who knew Paxton to join us in remembering the bright, beautiful soul who brought so much joy to our lives.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Bell Tower Funeral Home and Real Life Ministries for their kindness and generous donation of services during this difficult time. Their compassion has brought us comfort and relief. We also want to thank everyone who reached out to help both Brandie and Joey with overwhelming support and financial assistance—your kindness truly means the world to us and has helped us both navigate this unimaginable loss.

Paxton, you are forever loved, deeply missed, and always in our hearts. Rest easy, sweet boy.
