Patrick Donald Kenna, 60, of Post Falls, Idaho passed away November 29, 2017 in Post Falls. Patrick was born April 18, 1957 in Spokane, Washington to Judith (Benner) Kenna and Don Kenna.
Patrick grew up in Coeur d’ Alene, where he attended and graduated from Coeur d’ Alene High School in 1976. He found his passion in life as chef and he worked for the Red Lion in Spokane, Tri-cities, Bellevue and Eventually Eureka, California. His Career as a chef eventually took him to Palm Springs where he became a private chef for the Firestone family (Firestone Tire) preparing meals for President Gerald Ford and First Lady Betty and entertainers such as Bob Hope, Frank Sinatra and Dinah Shore. He worked for the Town and Country Hotel in San Diego for 11 years.
Patrick’s passion throughout his entire life was cooking. He enjoyed hosting meals for friends and family, competing in cooking competitions, and had a regular cooking spot on the local news in California “Healthy Living.”
He is survived by one brother Michael (Kellie) Kenna of Post Falls, Idaho; and one sister Keri Streeter (Mike Hill) of North Pole Alaska; Five nieces Kami, Jami, Ashley, Tara, and Stephanie. Patrick was preceded in death by his mother.
A Celebration of Patrick’s Life will be held in the Summer of 2018.
The family suggests that memorials may be made to Kindred Hospice at 22820 E. Appleway Ave. Suite A Liberty Lake, WA 99019.
