Naomi Kunz, 85 years old, passed peacefully away in Otis Orchards, Washington on December 14, 2016 surrounded by her family. She passed due to respiratory failure caused by COPD.
Naomi was born January 12, 1931 in Bern, Idaho. She was one of 13 children born to Parley and Hilda Kunz. In 1947, she married Fayon Pugmire in the Logan LDS Temple. They were later divorced. In 1962, she married LaVan Hunsaker. They were also later divorced.
She loved huckleberry picking, crafts, ceramics, scrap booking and directing melodramas and pageants. Naomi was able to serve two missions for the LDS church. After her two missions, she served as an office worker in the Spokane Temple with her daughter, Darla for ten years.
Naomi is survived by her sons Donald Pugmire (Donna), Douglas Pugmire (Norine), and Daryl Pugmire (Becky), and two daughters Darla McLaughlin (Denis), and DeeAnn Moyes. She has 20 grandchildren and 52 great-grandchildren. She also has sisters LaRue Spencer, LaVaun Hansen and Eva Berry and 4 brothers Dale Kunz, Phillip Kunz, Richard Kunz, and Arthur Kunz.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Parley and Hilda Kunz, sisters Fern, Geniel, and Carol, her brothers, Paul, and Owen and one grandchild Kameron Russell Layton.
Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 with visitation starting at noon at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 21022 E. Wellesley, Otis Orchards, Washington. Place of internment will be Bern Cemetery in Bern, Idaho.
