In Loving Memory of Micheal Upchurch
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Micheal Upchurch, Mike was born in Coeur d'Alene and lived his whole life in northern Idaho. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and a man of unwavering character. He left us on January 18, 2025, at the age of 57 surrounded by family.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and integrity that will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
Mike was a proud and loving husband and father. He leaves behind his wife, Carol L. Miras Upchurch, his 2 sons, Rollynn Upchurch with daughter-in-law Tiffany Upchurch, and Ryppan Upchurch with daughter-in-law Mily Upchurch along with his cherished granddaughter of six-month-old Alina, who made him a grandpa and brought immeasurable joy to his life. To his sons, was the kind of father who inspired greatness in those he loved and led by example, always walking his own path with courage and conviction. he was not only their father but their hero—the greatest role model they could have asked for. From him came the strength to face life’s challenges, the ability to find joy in the journey, and the wisdom to appreciate the blessings in every moment.
Mike lived life on his own terms, with a spirit that was unyielding yet filled with kindness and humility. He taught us the value of authenticity, the importance of family, and the power of gratitude. Though his physical presence is no longer with us, his spirit will forever guide his family and those fortunate enough to have known him.
His legacy is one of love, resilience, and the enduring impact of a life well lived.
Mike is survived by his wife, Carol L Miras Upchurch, his mother Vicky (Mike) Haskew, Bayview. His sons. Ryppan (Mily) Upchurch with Granddaughter Alina and Rollynn (Tiffany) Upchurch. His siblings: Tamie (Kirby) Cunningham, Bayview, Nathan Upchurch, Richard Cole, and Lynn Cole, Athol. Sister-in-law: Kelly Upchurch, CDA. Brothers-in-law: Grady (Stephanie) Miras, Charles (Robin) Stiles, Athol. Ron (Emily) Holley, Newport, Rhode Island. Nieces and nephews: Amber, Mason, Sherman, Payton, Devon, Naomi, Kylie, Dylan, Brandon, Madeline, Tatum, Grayson, Theo, Kyson, Misty, Carey, David, Shelley, Dennis, Luke, and Taryn. Aunts: Patty Hook, and Jan Poland. Numerous great nieces and great nephews, cousins, and good friends. Proceeded in death by: His father Sherman, his brother Joe, and his grandparents, Bert and Mildred Poland. Special cousin: Linda Bauer for being a #1 assistant. Pallbearers: Ryppan, Rollynn Grady, Mason Sherman, Luke Amber Richard. Honorary pallbearers: Nathan and Peyton.
