On January 19th 2023, Mary Anne Selman returned to her loving Heavenly Father and again joined her beloved husband, Glen.
Mary Anne was born on Nov. 28th 1932 in Oakland, Wisconsin to Frances Selmer Perkins and Katherine Annie Java. She was the 3rd of 8 children. In 1936 her family moved to North Idaho where she resided most of her life.
She married the love of her life, Glen Selman, on March 30, 1949. They were married for nearly 63 years until Glen’s death in 2012. Together they had 3 children: Timothy, Gayanne (Werry) and Bonnie (Morris). They had nine grandchildren that they enjoyed so much.
Mary Anne loved the Lord, people and beauty and her life reflected that. She often told others, “Put your problems in the Lord’s hand and say, ‘Thy will be done’.” She loved attending and serving at church. She made good friends everywhere she went. She and Glen worked side by side creating beautiful homes. She loved flowers and that was her contribution to their precious memories. She learned to paint and had her own studio where she taught art lessons for several years. She loved homemaking and was a good cook and kept a lovely home. She loved crocheting and made many afghans for others.
She always had a good attitude and wouldn’t let the trials of life get her down. She lived a long and productive life, leaving a trail of love and beauty for all around her.
Her funeral will be Jan. 25th in Superior, Montana at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 16 Moats Ln. A viewing will be at 11:00, the funeral at 12:00 and burial at the Superior Cemetery at 1:00. A family luncheon will be served at the church afterwards.
