Mary Raylene Ober, 84, of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, went to her Lord and Savior peacefully
on August 10th, 2024. Born Mary Raylene Bishop on September 24th, 1939, in Los
Angeles, California. Mary was a cherished daughter of Jesse and Gertrude Bishop. She
was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, and her presence will
be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Mary was known for her love of God and family, kindness, humor, love of gardening,
and dedication to her family. She spent her life loving and raising her family while
walking in the footsteps of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her daughter Lynn LaPan, son John Ober, son-in-law Tony LaPan,
grandchildren Justin Hart, Jamie Yurick, Jeri Yurick, Johnny Ober, and Joey Ober, as
well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her husband John
(Jack) Ober, daughter Monica Yurick, and granddaughter Jonna Hart.
A memorial service will be held on November 16th, 2024, at Christ The King Church in
Coeur d’Alene. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude
Children's Hospital in Mary’s honor.
Mary’s warmth and compassion will be cherished by all who had the privilege of
knowing her.
