Mark Leroy Bremner

May 4, 1945 — November 3, 2021

Mark Bremner, age 76 passed away at home sitting in his favorite chair holding the hand of his wife of 35 years. He grew up in Republic, WA. the son of Archie and Ruby Bremner. His sister Judy (Larry) Peterson and brother Rob (Lesa) still reside there on the original homestead. After graduating from high school Mark attended Spokane Community College but before he graduated, he was drafted into the Army and spent his 21st birthday in boot camp. After serving in the Vietnam War, he returned to Republic and married Linda Bangs and was blessed to become the father to Tracie Lynn and Terra Michele. During that time, he worked in the logging industry. After he and Linda divorced, he relocated to the Coeur d’ Alene Idaho area where he drove trucks for various road builders. In 1983 the next adventure began. Mark returned to Republic and bought his Uncle Don’s log truck. He also began dating Peta Lindsey Giddings, widow of Claude Giddings. After returning to Hayden Lake, Idaho in 1986, they married. At that time, he became the much loved and respected father to Peta’s children-Joshua Trex (Amanda) and Jolene Crystal (Dan). He continued to live and work in the Coeur d’ Alene area until he retired from his very successful trucking business in the road building industry as owner/operator of several trucks. Mark had a work ethic that would rival President Trump! He never went home until the job was done, no matter the time. He was always “fixing” some piece of equipment or helping someone fix theirs. The day before he passed away on November 3, 2021, he drug home a project trailer to keep himself busy. Mark’s shop wood stove was always surrounded by his family and longtime buddies where they would solve the problems of the day. He loved telling jokes with a cat in his lap or a dog at his feet. He also loved seeing and teasing his grandkids, Heather Tresham, Tristian Bremner, Mason Lucas, Tyler Giddings and the first great grandchild Finlee Tresham. He always made sure he was the one to give them their first piece of chocolate or ice cream. Mark made a house a home where everyone is welcome. We miss you Pa. Mark absolutely did not want a funeral service, but we’ll see… You may send contributions to his favorite charity – Shriners Hospital for Children if you wish to honor him in the way.
