Margaret ( Peggy) Mettalia

Our beloved Peggy of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho passed away on Jan. 22, 2025.Born in New York and adopted by loving parents Alice and Herbert Theis. She married the love of her life Robert J. (Bob) Mettalia on Sept. 25, 1977.He preceded in death, and her special sister-in-law Maryann Buckley also preceded her in death. Peggy enjoyed skiing from New England to Sandpoint Idaho well up into her 70's. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed her friends at the Avondale Golf Club with the Ladies' 9 and 18 hole group. She also enjoyed her friends on her bowling team (Remix) until she was 90. She loved her trips to Women of Faith Conferences all over the country with Nancy Adam and Maryann Buckley. I guess you could say she enjoyed life. Peg touched so many people near and far, and was always there for those in need. She will be so missed by those who knew her. She is survived by bonus daughters Jane McDonald, Nancy Adam(Noel), Gina Mettalia (Bart),bonus Grandaughter Marie Kuyper(Mike), bonus grandson Robert Potratz(Chrissy). Brothers-in-law Joe Mettalia(Joyce), Tom Buckley, Foster Brothers Barry Batcheller(Jullien), Ed Stavola(Sherri), and many nieces, nephews, and friends. The family would like to thank Guardian Angels in Post Falls for the excellent care they gave to our beloved Peggy and also Hospice of North Idaho. At Peggy's request there will be no Memorial Service/ Funeral.
