Loleta June Widener was born on the 8th of May, 1936 in Morrow Town, ID to Everett Leachman and Lucy Kole both from Idaho. She passed away in her home of 15 years in Post Falls, ID on the 13th of October 2021.
Loleta was born in Idaho and grew up in the Lewiston area until the age of 16. She married Robert A Danner and had 6 children; they divorced later on. Loleta then married James Cyrenius Widener in Nevada and they were happily married for 48 years.
Loleta focused her career in the education field finding her passion with teaching head start and enjoyed spending time with the children she taught and cared for. Loleta was notably a great, loving Super MOM but she showed everyone she met with care and concern for their well-being. Loleta was often seen with exuberating good integrity, optimism and a strong will.
Loleta attended CDA Nazerene Church and was involved in the Woman of Faith’s group. Her hobbies and interests included making needle point pillowcases for all of her family, sewing, painting, wood crafting, enjoyed canning, cross stitching, quilting, gardening, going on walks and hiking, cutting wood and loved to go camping and hunting. Loleta was a Jane of all trades to say the least.
Loleta June Widener is preceded in death by both of her parents Everett and Lucy, brothers: Ed Leachman, Cliff Leachman, Dale Leachman and Harvey Leachman; and her sister Margaret Dugger and Linda Oversby.
Loleta is survived by her 9 children including: Sons’ Allen Danner of WA, Robert Danner of ID and Richard Danner from WA and her Daughters’ Kathy Grande of WA, Sheryl Newman of ID and Carol Perkins of WA, Todd Widener of CA, Tim Widener of WA and Trent Widener of WA, as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
