Leonard Pulley

December 17, 1937 — May 21, 2012

Leonard Pulley Jr. of Post Falls passed away on May 21, 2012. He was 74. Leonard was born in St. Louis, Illinois and grew up in Tennessee. He attended the Tennessee School for the Deaf. In 1962 he moved to the Seattle area and married his second wife (Joanne Sampson on Nov 11, 1989. Together they moved to Idaho in 2001. Leonard is survived by his 2 sisters, Connie Coons of Idaho City, Idaho and Faye Byard of Rockford, Illinois; 3 daughters Lisa Harrell of Montgomery, Texas (her 4 children-Stephanie, Tonya, Melvin, and Sarah) Pauline Spears (her 4 children- Alex, Nicole, Taylor and Cassandra)and Shirley Pulley of Federal Way, WA. He will also be missed by his 2 step daughters Susan Sampson of Las Vegas, Nevada and Krista Neill of Tempe, Arizona and step granddaughter Jerryl Sampson of Reno, Nevada. Leonard's family would like to thank the staff of both Kootenai Cancer Center of Post Falls and the Hospice House of Post Falls for their loving care of Leonard in his final days. Special thanks to Deborah Berzins for her interpreter services and assistance. The family requests that donations be made to Kootenai Cancer Center or Hospice House of Post Falls.
