Laurie Jean Brock

Laurie Jean Brock, 67, of Rathdrum, Idaho, passed away on July 21, 2023.  Born in Torrance, California, Laurie was adopted by Martha and Eugene Penton of Thousand Oaks, California where she was raised through her high school years.  She attended Moorpark Jr. College for two years before starting her career in banking.  Laurie later changed careers and worked in the insurance industry until she retired.  She is preceded in death by her parents and her longtime partner Russell Foots and is survived by her brother Mark Penton, his wife Dawna, their two children, Trevor and Melissa, and the extended Foots family.  Laurie enjoyed collecting gemstones as a hobby as well as the companionship of her beloved dogs, Koda and Kramer.

Memorial donations may be made to the Schneidmiller House-Hospice of North Idaho in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.  A private service will be held on August 19, 2023, in Rathdrum, Idaho.
