Kenneth Roy Cunningham (73) of Worley, ID passed away at his home on Friday, September 30, 2011. Ken was born May 6, 1938 in Minneapolis, MN to James C. & Gladys (McGovern) Cunningham.
He is survived by his wife and sweetheart, Doris, of 55 years. They were married in Mullan, ID in 1956, where Ken worked at the Lucky Friday Mine. He retired after 30 years of service with the mine. In 1989, Ken and Doris moved from the Silver Valley to Worley where they have been ever since. He was a Christian man and attended the Worley Community Church. He was a lover of the outdoors, fishing, hunting, woodworking and gardening. He was very much a 'nature man' and respected all of God's creations. Ken was very active and always stayed busy doing some project.
Ken loved his family very dearly, and is survived by his two daughters: Charlotte Hoven of Mullan, ID and Patricia Satterfield of Anchorage, AK. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Ken is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, one brother and his three sons, John, Jim, and Ron.
He was a very loved and respected man and will be missed by so many of us. Contributions can be made to the Worley Ambulance in honor of Ken. Memorial services will be Saturday, October 8, 2011, at 1pm at the Worley Community Church.
