Kelley Louis Pahl

March 6, 1997 — July 17, 2021

Kelley Louis Pahl lived a life too short that is now leaving the world feeling short -handed. Our beautiful boy never went unloved by the world and by the grace of Christ, entered into the kingdom of the almighty before that terrible day occurred. Kelley was an intelligent boy full of promise and a fun- loving spirit. He often struggled in school but made up for it shortly before his passing by achieving his GED. We could not be any prouder of him. Since a very young age, his father waited in the wings and pushed everything aside whenever the possibility of simply being with him arrived. Cherishing and remembering each and every night that he held him close and went to bed smiling simply because he was his boy. This was every night! There has never been a fuller joy than his father felt since the day he was born. Shortly after his time on earth began, I had the blessing of calling him my son. Each day since I have considered him my own and treated him the way a loving mother would. Nothing could break the bond that he and I formed the first day when my soon to be husband introduced me to my oldest son! Kelley always had a soft part in his heart that he held for all of humanity. Regardless of the circumstances, Kelley saw a person for the entire life’s situation and not purely for their face value nor for the wrongs they had done. For this, everyone fell in love with our boy and soon, everybody knew him. Dealing with the loss of a child is the hardest thing a parent can go through and should not go through in the first place. But, when these times arise, we must focus on the Lord and trust that He is now holding our son for us until we meet in heaven. Kelley carried the Pahl name with pride and never let anyone drag it down. His consideration for each side came into play later on after his mother passed away. All the while, his father waited for him; prioritizing life for the chance to minister to his son and just love him the way only a daddy does. Kelley Sr. instilled the most important values into his son, the salvation of Christ! Everything he needed to know to get him into the kingdom of God where we now believe him to be. If we only knew what was to happen to him sooner. Kelley Sr. and I find ourselves thankful at the outpour of love we have seen through our church as well. The condolences received have been nothing short of miraculous. Once again, everyone loved him. Nothing negative about his character has ever been shared about him. We want to formally thank those who have felt our pain and shared in our grieving during this difficult time. Those that have offered an ear to a hurting family. Please know that words cannot express the gratitude we feel towards our church family at the Altar church, coworkers at Wellspring Meadows, and dear friends that have tried to heal our pain since losing our baby boy. Kelley was always a playful child who loved to get the new popular toy and play for hours with his daddy in the yard, at the park, or at the beach. When Kelley got to be around 8 years old, he fell in love with skating and did this every moment of every day. I remember teaching him how to do new kicks and flips in the driveway after his father and I married. Time was well spent in taking part of whatever he enjoyed simply to enjoy him. His father never denied his son his love and prayed for him earnestly during the time he was not around. Once again, waiting to hold his son’s heart with his own. Kelley Jr. grew to be a slightly introverted individual that held his heart on his sleeve but his thoughts to himself. He showed his deeper feelings through actions of emotion. These actions were smiles and games with his younger brothers Kyller and Noah Pahl and his only sister Olivia Pahl. The young man we once healed after falling off of his skateboard time and time again, had grown into the big brother. His siblings have wished to learn what he knows, see what he sees, and do what he can do just because he was who he was. Constantly asking for special days to have their brother Kelley be with them above any gift mommy and daddy could offer. What a tragedy for this type of person to be lost in our world. This saddened world has lost a pure soul. One who had much to offer to it regardless of what he would never have the chance to do. The handsome boy we held is now gone but not gone forever. He simply sleeps in the peace of our Lord until the day we meet him. Writing these words only sets into stone the agony of losing a child. But, this was not only a child,…this was our little Kelley! We beg for the prayers of our brothers and sisters in Christ as we mourn a terrible loss. We ask that ALL who knew and loved him be present at his services and join us in honoring the young man we had. Please show up for him and be there with us to lay him to rest. For when we all meet in heaven, there will be a true celebration that will be heard here on earth. We ask simply that those God has arranged to read this (yes, He has caused you to read on) that are suffering from the same hardships little Kelley was battling, to reevaluate your perspectives and see what needs to be done to not end up the same way. Romans 8:28 states, “ All things work together for good to those who love Christ and are called according to his purposes “ Therefore, be the new creation you can be for Christ and have everlasting life instead of death. Kelley Jr. received the Lord Jesus into his heart first with his father as a new adult and later again with trusted men of God through the church. This was the one thing the Lord must have waited on before carrying out his plan for all of our lives. Through this loss, we take refuge in the love of Jesus because He is the only one who can take away the pain of losing our son. The Lord offers this as a gift to anyone who will accept it. If we are to see the good to come of this, we pray that his friends who see this also accept this free gift from God. Kelley is survived by his father Kelley Pahl, his stepmother Megan Pahl, little brothers Kyller and Noah Pahl, and little sister Olivia Pahl, Aunt Toni Pahl, Aunt and uncle Cathy and Dave Stebbins, and Mike Pahl. He also leaves his Aunts Regina Pederson, Sr. Bernadette Pederson, Suzanne Crouch, and Grandmother Bernadette Pederson. Lastly, he leaves behind his Uncle Dan Pederson. Preceded in death are Grandma Patricia Starkweather Pahl and Grandfather Aurthur Louis Pahl, sister Kylla Pahl as well as mother Mary Salsbury. Rest well son, we love you!
