Kat J Peterson, 67 Years Old
Kathline J Peterson was born on April 22, 1955 in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Victor and Phyllis Kasser. She went home to be with our Lord Peacefully crossing the rainbow bridge at her home in Blanchard, Idaho on December 12, 2022.
After graduating high school in 1974 she joined the U.S. ARMY and served as a medical assistant. She met her future husband John Peterson while they served in Bad Kreuznach, Germany. They were married on December 23, 1975. In march of 1976 she was honorably discharged as an E4
After her honorable discharge from the ARMY Kat and John moved to California where she was an Emergency & Surgical Medical technician at Garfield Hospital. They moved to Kansas where they had three children Keith, Christina and Elizabeth. In 1986 they moved back to California where her love of animals inspired her to earn a degree and become a Veterinary Technician.
After the North Ridge earthquake in 1994 the family decided to make the beautiful North Idaho their permanent home.
In North Idaho Kat started her dream creating Excalibur K-9 Kennels and Kat’s Dog Training. She trained many dogs, helping her community. Her kennel produced companion dogs, search and rescue, drug detection, and police K-9s. She competed in show, rally and obedience. Winning first place in many events. She helped in 4-H for many years.
Kat loved spending time with family, her animals and watching the search for Sasquatch.
Kat is survived by her. Children, Keith Peterson, Christina Peterson, Elizabeth Hiemenz, daughter-in-law Kris Peterson, son-in-law Josef Hiemenz, five grandchildren Joseph Hiemenz, Natalia Peterson, Michael Peterson, Johann Hiemenz, Etta Hiemenz, her Mother Phyllis Kasser, her siblings Vickie French, Nancy Skipper, Victor Kasser.
She is proceeded in death by her husband and an Army of German Shepherds.
