Judy Ann Foster passed unexpectedly at her home in Spirit Lake, Idaho on September 1, 2023 at the age of 50.
Judy was born on May 25, 1973 to Robert and Carolyn Foss in Kalispell, Montana. During her time growing up she lived in several different places, including Missoula, Montana and the Spokane, Washington area. After high school she attended Eastern Washington University where she graduated in 1995 with a degree in Secondary Education.
Even though she was never able to land a teaching position, she turned her love of literature and English into a job at a local bookstore, which then led to a career working for the Community Library Network in North Idaho. Starting at the Post Falls Library in 2005, she found someone there who caught her eye, and after a few months he got smart and asked her out. Office romance bloomed, and a year later on October 7, 2006 she married her soulmate, Mark Foster. Three years later they welcomed a son, Nathaniel.
In addition to her love of reading and sharing that love with those who came to the library, she also had a passion for sharing her relationship with Jesus. Not in a pushy or overwhelming way, but by a gentle, simply lived life that connected with people.
Judy is survived by her parents, her husband, her son, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. A memorial service and celebration of life is scheduled for 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 16 at Summit Ministries Northwest in Post Falls, Idaho. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Judy’s life.
