John Lee Perkins

July 24, 1939 — December 28, 2021

On December 28th the Perkins family lost their beloved father and grandfather, John Lee Perkins of Post Falls, Idaho. He was born on July 24th, 1939 to John and Florence Perkins. John is survived by his sister Carol and by his children, Terry, Brad (Kristi), Sharon, John (Misty), and Matt (April). He will be greatly missed not only by his children but by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. John was preceded in death by his sister Lois and his wife Penny. Although the death of his wife in 2020 was heartbreaking, the strength and closeness of his family kept John going.  John was eager to serve his country at a young age and joined the Marines when he was just 16. He was truly a tough Marine, and will always be remembered by his family for his strength and his patriotism. At age 23, John began working for Central Pre-Mix, where he continued working for 38 years. John was an extremely friendly person who loved meeting new people. He enjoyed playing slot machines at the local casino and spent his weekends cheering on the Seahawks, Huskies or the Zags.   A service for John will be held at 1 pm, February 12th at Bell Tower Funeral Home in Post Falls. In the meantime, please visit our online memorial page at belltowerfuneralhome.com to share a memory or to leave a tribute.
