Jeryl "Jery" Denise Taylor

Jeryl (Jery) Denise Taylor, went to be with the lord our Savior on January 1, 2024, with her loving
husband Joe Taylor of 49 years by her side. Jery was preceded by her mom, Dorothy Sheley, and her
brothers Ron and Bob Kinney. She will be missed by her sister Laurie Linn and brothers Richard Kinney
and Roger Sheley. Jery was born on April 14, 1955, in North Bend, OR. She lived in Empire, Oregon for the
first 7 years of her life before the family relocated to the Los Angeles, CA area until she was 16. Jery’s
family then relocated to Kennewick, Washington where she graduated high school and started college
before marrying her high school sweetheart.

Over the next 7 years, she began her lifetime career as a very supportive, loving wife and homemaker
when her husband joined the Navy’s Advance Electronic program. During that time they had 3
wonderful children (Stephanie, Jason, and April) and bounced between San Diego and Mare Island CA.
After the Navy and for the next 37 years as her husband progressed his career in the high-tech world,
Jery and her husband lived in Greenacres, WA, Otis Orchards, WA, Banks, OR, Hutto TX and Newman
Lake, WA. Over that period Jery became a loving Grandmother of 4 and a loving Great Grandmother of 2.
Jery’s family meant the world to her and brought her joy and comfort throughout her life. In 2019, Jery
and her husband settled into retirement and built a home in Rathdrum, Idaho where they planned to
live out their remaining years.

Jery will not only be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she is
remembered as a loving Aunt to her nieces and nephews as well as a second mom to a lot of the kid’s
friends as her home was the center of activity and she was always available to lend a helping hand.
We will celebrate her life on Friday, January 12th at 11 am.  It will be held at the Calvary Chapel 15095 N.
McCartney Street, Rathdrum, ID followed by a Graveside ceremony at the Pinegrove Cemetery 6693 Hwy
53 in Rathdrum.  Jery’s private viewing will be held at Bell Tower Funeral Home, 3398 E Jenalan
Avenue Post Falls, ID Thursday, January 11th from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
