Jerry Bartholomew, age 72, was called to his eternal rest on March 8, 2024, in Post Falls, Idaho.
Born on June 28, 1951, in Wichita, Kansas, Jerry's life was a testament to the virtues of humility
and gratitude.
A devoted servant to both his country and community, Jerry honorably served in the US Air Force.
His military tenure instilled in him a profound sense of duty and reverence for life, which he
carried into his career as a highly-skilled vascular access nurse at the Veterans Administration
Hospital in Spokane, WA. There, he provided care with a gentle hand and open heart, embodying
the healing ministry through his actions and presence.
Jerry's education path was rooted in the nurturing grounds of private Christian schools starting at
Orangewood Academy, where he was shaped by the principles of faith and service, later
continuing his academic and spiritual growth at Loma Linda University.
Blessed with a loving family, Jerry leaves behind his son Blair, his daughter Lindsey and her
family, his son Christopher and his family, and siblings Anita Manning of Sandpoint Idaho, Billy
Bartholomew of Corona, CA, and Bob Bartholomew of Temecula CA. He was preceded in joining
the Kingdom of Heaven by his cherished wife, Casey.
Jerry's life reflected his unwavering commitment to his Lord and Savior. Following the
devastating loss of his beloved wife Casey, Jerry found comfort in salvation as promised in
Romans 10:9 &10.
“…if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that
God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto
righteousness; and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.”
Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted, and in remembering Jerry, comfort is
found in the message of salvation, gratitude for his life, well-lived and full of grace.
