James Floyd Gould was born Jan 11, 1933 in Oklahoma City, OK and passed away at his home in Rathdrum, ID on Dec. 11, 2012 after a battle with cancer. James was born to Floyd Wesley Gould and Lottie Galarthie Rackley Gould, both preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Thelma Delorse Tatom and two sons, Roy Earl Hollingsworth II and Michael Wayne Gould, a grandson Earl Ray Hollingsworth and 2 great grandsons Jimmy Jon Glass and Jessie Ryan McNearney.
James leaves behind 4 sons; James Floyd Gould and wife Maria Schneller Gould of Athol, ID, Alan Lee Gould and wife Dewyne Karon Reeves Gould of Athol, ID, Mark Edward Gould and wife Lisa Ann Gregerson Gould of Old Town, Florida, Marlin (Marlee) Eugene Gould and wife Jessie Annette Fiefield of Athol, ID and a daughter Marilyn Delorse Gould Rogers and husband Terrry Lee Rogers. He is also survived by 2 daughter in laws; Carla Jean Everett of Dear Lake, WA and Linda Ann Holms of Spokane, WA, a stepdaughter Cheryl Ann Hollingsworth Leslie and husband Jerry Leslie of Ventura, CA and long time fried of the family Ruth Ledbetter and her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. James loved them as if they were born to him. He is also survived by 27 grandkids, 52 great grandkids and 10 great great grandkids, with 2 more on the way.
James loved anything to do with the outdoors: hunting, fishing, camping, working on cars and riding motorcycles. He started riding and fixing Harleys when he was 12 years old. He was able to go to Florida to his son Mark and wife Lisa and grandson Ozzy in August. He fished in the Gulf of Mexico and caught a Hammerhead Shark. James had more friends and acquaintances than we could possibly list. He touched the lives of everyone he met and he loved it when he met young people and they called him Grandpa. He was always happiest when he was with his family. A memorial service will be held Sat. Dec. 22, 2012 at 1pm at the Athol Community Center.
