James “Jim” Louis Edgington, 69, of Post Falls, Idaho passed away May 17, 2016 at the Hospice House in Hayden, Idaho. Jim was born September 25, 1946 in Belen, New Mexico to Louis and Rachel (Burnett) Edgington.
Jim was raised in Belen, New Mexico where he attended and graduated from Belen High School in 1965. He then became a Police Officer in Clovis, New Mexico. There he met Vicki Bradshaw and they were later married December 19, 1973 in Clovis, New Mexico. They were married 42 years when Jim passed.
Jim felt a calling and moved his family to Texas where he attended Gulf Coast Bible College, earning a degree in Theology, graduating in 1981 with honors. He then served as a pastor at the First Church of God in San Angelo, Texas until 1985 when he moved to Rapid City, South Dakota. There he again served as a pastor at the First Church of God until 1988. He then served as a Police Officer and Chaplain for the local police department. He eventually retired and moved to North Idaho settling in Post Falls.
Jim was a member of North Country Chapel. Jim loved spending time outdoors, and enjoyed hunting big game, and fishing.
Jim is survived by his loving wife Vicki Edgington of the family home in Post falls, one daughter Kelly Edgington of Post Falls, Idaho; and one granddaughter Melissa Edgington of Post Falls, Idaho. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
A celebration of Jim's life will be held Thursday May 26, 2016 at 3:00 P.M. At Bell Tower Funeral Home 3398 E. Jenalan Ave. Post Falls, Idaho.
